Clarity isn’t seasonal.
The 2025 You ~ Embracing the Power of Planning
There’s a lot of pressure to have it all figured out at the start of the year. The big goals. The perfect plan. The wision board ready to go. But let’s be honest, life doesn’t wait for a clean calendar page, and clarity doesn’t just show up because you want it to.
What I know so far, the best planning comes from real experiences, messy starts, and a willingness to show up for yourself (whenever that happens to be).
Finding Stillness in Unexpected Places
Last year, I thought an off-grid cabin in the woods was the perfect setting for planning. No Wi-Fi, no distractions. Just me, nature, and my thoughts. What I didn’t account for? No plumbing, no electricity, and a shower powered by water I had to haul from a frozen stream. Let’s just say planning didn’t happen.
But what I did find in that cabin was something I wasn’t expecting. I slowed down. I sat by a fire I built myself, listened to music on a record player, and let my thoughts catch up with me. It wasn’t the clarity I planned for, but it was the reflection I needed.
Changing the Game
This year, I traded wood stoves and frozen streams for running water and Wi-Fi at a Boston hotel. In true me fashion, I forgot my notebook. At first, I thought about heading out to find that "perfect" notebook, the one that feels like it holds all the answers. But instead, I embraced one of my main mindsets for 2025 -focusing on what I already have. Housekeeping handed me a stack of cardstock and a pen, and I got to work.
I gave this mindset a shot, and holy cow, it worked in big ways. I kept leaning into it, finding more and more ways to make progress by focusing on what I already had instead of chasing something else. A few pieces of cardstock, a pen, and some quiet turned into the foundation of my 2025 plan. Instead of stressing over finding the perfect notebook or setup, I worked with what I had and got started. That choice - focusing on what was already in front of me- reinforced the truth that I don’t have to wait to become the woman I dream of being someday. She’s already here, just waiting for me to step into her fully. Every choice I make and every action I take helps me own that version of myself a little more.
Lessons You Can Use Anytime
Start where you are
Planning isn’t about a perfect setting or the right tools. It’s about showing up and taking the first step, even if that step is messy.Reflect before you plan
Whether it’s journaling, meditating, or simply sitting quietly, taking time to reflect can give you a better sense of what you actually want.Planning isn’t seasonal
You don’t need January 1, a holiday, or an excuse to start. The next version of you can begin whenever you decide it’s time.
Creating Your Plan
If this hits home and you’re ready to step into clarity, here’s where you can start:
Set aside intentional time: It doesn’t need to be long, just uninterrupted. Commit to showing up for yourself.
Write it all down: Your thoughts, your goals, your ideas. They don’t need to be neat, they just need to get out of your head.
Give yourself permission to adapt: Your plan doesn’t have to be perfect, and it doesn’t need to stay rigid. Planning is about creating a structure, not a prison.
Let’s Work Together
If you want support in creating your plan, let’s connect. Whether it’s through a group session, a 1:1 focus session, or even just sharing strategies, I’d love to help. Having a plan doesn’t limit you. It opens the door to living more intentionally, creatively, and authentically.
So here’s the question
what small step can you take today to start building the version of you you’ve been waiting for?
